Newsletter Q4 2021
Dear Members,
The countdown has begun to the Ireland France Business Awards 2021 Gala dinner. The jury has deliberated and the winning companies will be announced on the evening of November 25th at the Intercontinental Hotel, Dublin. We are honoured to announce the presence of An Taoiseach, Mr. Michéal Martin, and the French Minister for Foreign Trade and Economic Attractiveness, Mr. Franck Riester, at the awards ceremony which promises to be an exceptional evening for the Franco-Irish business community. Reservations will close shortly so please see details below should you wish to secure your attendance.
The France Ireland Business Directory has been launched since our last newsletter and we are delighted to report that we have already experienced keen interest from the business community. We hope for this listing to be as comprehensive as possible so if you represent an Irish company in France, and have not yet entered your details, or if you know of an Irish company that would like to highlight and promote their presence in France, please use and share the link to register today.
We ask all members to Save The Date of December 14th for our Christmas Reception which we are delighted to announce will return to its physical format this year at the Embassy of Ireland in Paris. We have a wonderful evening lined up for our members and full details along with a registration link to attend will follow shortly.
Finally, a brief reminder that, although anytime is a good time to join NetworkIrlande, this time of year is especially interesting as any new members that join from November 1st will enjoy all member advantages effective immediately and until January 1st, 2023 (including joining fellow members at our very popular Christmas Reception)! So we do encourage you to share the opportunity with any person or company in your entourage that might benefit from membership of our association.

RENTREE RECEPTION
Our rentrée reception on September 22nd was the first occasion in a very long time for our members, and a few special guests, to catch up in person and get back to some highly enjoyable networking. H.E. Ambassador O'Brien opened the evening with a welcome address which highlighted recent key developments in Franco-Irish business relations (see playback here) and the Ambassador wished all present a very successful rentrée.
Vice-President of NetworkIrlande, Orla Noonan, then announced the launch of the France Ireland Business Directory which hopes to become a reference for all companies involved in the Franco-Irish business space and a comprehensive listing of Irish companies operating in France. Orla encouraged all companies present to use this platform to their advantage as signing up to the directory is quick and easily done online via the NetworkIrlande website. After announcing some of the highlights of our agenda this last quarter - notably the Ireland France Business Awards Gala dinner which will take place in Dublin on November 25th in the presence of An Taoiseach, Mr. Micheàl Martin and our Christmas Reception which will return to the Embassy this year on December 14th, Orla finished by thanking our sponsors for the evening, NetworkIrlande Pioneer members, Ecocem and Adrian Hamilton from business member, Le Projet Néolithique 2.0, who treated members to a tasting of his craft beer.
A special thanks also to the Centre Culturel Irlandais for welcoming us and even ensuring sunshine on the evening!

NetworkIrlande business member HANNON Transport has announced an exciting 3-Year sponsorship deal of Paris Gaels GAA
The three-year deal will see HANNON Transport become the exclusive shirt sponsor of all men's and ladies' teams including football, hurling, camogie and handball with new home and away jerseys and sports equipment.
Paris Gaels GAA was established in 1995 and was the first club in Continental Europe to be affiliated with the GAA. The club is mostly made up of Irish ex-pats from the business community in Paris, but it has also attracted its fair share of Parisian locals.
Headquartered in Aghalee, County Antrim, HANNON Transport has bases in both Dublin and Rotterdam. The company opened its second mainland Europe hub in Rungis International Food Market just south of Paris in April 2020.
Commenting on the new sponsorship deal, Aodh Hannon, owner and Managing Director of HANNON Transport, said "It's been a long 18 months since we launched our new Paris hub in April 2020 in the first full month of the COVID pandemic and in the wake of BREXIT. Not an ideal start, but we believe the worst is now behind us and this new 3-year sponsorship deal marks a great new chapter both for HANNON Transport and the Paris Gaels".
"It's is a good win-win for us as a Northern Ireland business new to Paris and looking to network and make business connections and obviously for the club itself to get the financial support."
