Newsletter February/March 2020

Dear Members,

In just a few short weeks Saint Patrick's Day will be upon us and we will be celebrating our Patron Saint with style in France. Our friends at Irish In France are organising a parade in Paris on March 14th which is due to rival the fantastic turnout in 2019. NetworkIrlande will be present flying the flag for the Franco-Irish business community and we would love to see as many members as possible get behind our banner. Further details and timings below. Tourism Ireland's fabulous 'Global Greening' campaign continues to grow and the full list of participating French sites this year can be found here. The Centre Culturel Irlandais has a whole festival organised between March 13th and 17th and to top it off Paris is hosting the IRE vs FR 6 nation's rugby match on March 14th. In short there is every opportunity during March to celebrate Ireland and our fantastic Franco-Irish community!

NetworkIrlande membership continues to grow across all member categories, not in any small way thanks to you, our current members, who have been promoting the network and sharing what we do. We are happy to announce that the winner of our New Year referral campaign is Pamela Boutin Bird and a lovely hamper of Irish goodies is on its way to her! Obviously all members win when our network grows so please continue to spread the good news and make sure to connect with us on LinkedIn and Twitter if you have not already done so.

Wishing you all a wonderful Saint Patrick's Day!

BOOST YOUR NETWORK #3

The third edition of our ever popular speed networking event Boost Your Network took place on Wednesday, January 29th at the offices of Grant Thornton in Neuilly.

We had over 50 registered participants from NetworkIrlande, The Franco British Chamber of Commerce, Australian Business in Europe and the France Ireland Chamber of Commerce. Attendees arrived to some very welcome coffee and light breakfast and a brief address by Mathieu Devillers, partner at Grant Thornton and head of their International Business Advisory Services division. Mathieu outlined the work of his team which is dedicated to assisting global companies in their international development working both in and out of France.

Meetings began at 8.45am and in all over 125 one-on-one encounters were held throughout the morning with much more 'casual' networking taking place in the refreshments area. Feedback on the day was very positive and this was backed up by our post-event survey results whereby the majority of respondents had either found a new service/product provider or generated potential business leads during the morning.

Many thanks to Grant Thornton for hosting the event in their perfectly appointed offices and for their continued support as Pioneer member of NetworkIrlande. We are already looking forward to the next edition!
